He saw the grandma coming closer and closer so he quickly hid. She looked around saw a thing wriggling in a bush but it was just a cat. Then she turned around. She saw the ginger bread man running again. Then the gingerbread man saw two people in the distance. The grandma gave up and went home. When the gingerbread man came up to the two people, Tim and Lynda asked him,
“Do you have any cheese?”
“No,” said the ginger bread man. “Who are you?”
“We are Tim and Lynda. We are looking for some cheese. Do you know where to find some?”
“No,” said the gingerbread man, that’s the second time you have asked. I am going to go back to the cottage. I know I will get chased again by granny but it is kind of fun in some ways. I will have to be clever because I don’t want to get caught like my friends. Grandma is ugly and yucky and grandpa has a wrinkly face. Actually, Tim and Lynda, I think I know where to find some cheese in grandma’s house.”
They rushed off but the gingerbread man was even faster than them so he got to grandma’s house faster than Tim and Lynda. They slept there over night. When they woke up, they smelt melted cheese on a bread roll with bacon. Their favourite meal!
“Why are you cooking such a good breakfast?” asked Tim.
“How did you know this was our favourite breakfast?” asked Lynda.
“I heard you sleep-talking!” said grandma.
“Can we have some, please?” asked Tim and Lynda.
Does grandma give them some breakfast or not?
