The princess knocked on the door. Suddenly the door swung open and the voice of a queen said,
“Oh dear, please come in young lady and astronauts,” so they went inside. “Let me introduce myself, I am Queen Rosie!” cried the Queen.
“We are Tim and Lynda, the astronauts, your Majesty,” said Tim and Lynda in politeness. It was getting late so they had to stay for the night at the castle. Tim and Lynda slept in two spare beds in a spare bedroom and the princess slept on a bed with 20 mattresses layered on a tiny pea but only the queen knew about the pea because she put it there. The next morning, everyone in the castle woke up.
“Good morning!” said Tim.
“How are you feeling?” asked the queen.
“Great!” said Tim and Lynda.
“Awfully bad!” said the princess. “There seemed to be something like a huge rock in my bed!” she added.
“Hooray!” shouted the queen in excitement. “I've finally found a real princess to marry the prince!” A man in a bright blue suit came walking in and he was the prince. When he heard about the lost princess he asked her to marry him.
