“Not unless it is for a prize,” replied Puss.
“How about if it is for a prize?”
“Ok, it’s a deal then,” Puss answered. They started walking with Puss leading the way. Once they reached the village, someone called out,
“He’s back!”
Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at the entrance and saw Puss in Boots. Just then, soldiers came out of nowhere.
“Run!” yelled a voice from nowhere! Just then, on one of the roofs, they saw a black cat.
“Mamma mia!” said the amazed Puss in Boots.
“Run!” yelled the voice again. Tim grabbed Lynda’s arm, picked up Puss and ran as fast as his legs would carry him, with the black cat running behind him and the soldiers running far behind. The black cat said,
“Follow me!” So they did. Then the cat stopped.
“Go up this tree, but hurry!” Once they were up in the tree, the cat said,
“Meow!” Once the amazing, black cat had meowed five times and had scratched the tree twice, softly, a part of the tree went down like a drawbridge. They went inside. It was like going down that hole in the moon….. Then, bump!
