As they were watching, they saw a tiny man appear in the room. After he chatted with the girl for a while, Tim and Lynda saw him begin to spin the straw into gold. When all the straw had been spun into gold, the little man disappeared. Then the girl began to cry. Tim and Lynda went into the palace, found the girl and asked her why she was crying. The girl told them that the little man was going to take her first child in payment for the gold unless she could guess his name.
